We are currently seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at our cute Traverse City store, which is connected to Compass Rose on Front Street. If you have a friendly and outgoing personality, a passion for social media, enjoy engaging with both locals and tourists, thrive in a store environment, and share a deep appreciation for our lakes, grapes, and the great outdoors, then we would love to have a conversation with you.
Job Summary:
Our Sales Team Members serve as the brand's ambassadors to our customers, playing a vital role in our achievements. They possess extensive expertise in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a remarkable guest experience at our retail stores. Their responsibilities include engaging and building connections with our guests, providing comprehensive product knowledge, and authentically representing our community and culture. Working closely with customers, they assess their requirements, address product inquiries, and offer appropriate solutions. Ultimately, Team Members aim to deliver outstanding customer service, uphold store cleanliness, and consistently achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities:

- Establish supportive and productive relationships with the owner, interns, and fellow team members at L&G.
- Ensure a delightful guest experience by valuing their time and actively engaging with them.
- Approach each guest, assess their needs, and provide comprehensive product education highlighting its value and benefits.
- Maintain an active presence on the floor, attending to guest and store needs with agility.
- Gather guest feedback and collaborate with store leadership to promptly address concerns and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Extend a warm smile and genuine welcome to every guest.
- Exceed daily sales goals through effective tracking and proactive upselling.
- Include an "add-on" sale in every transaction.
- Accurately complete all point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
- Follow opening and closing checklists to maintain a clean and inviting store environment for our guests.
- Organize and maintain store inventory, ensuring it is dust-free and well-stocked during downtime.
- Participate in contests, team sales goals, and other incentive programs.
- Maintain a friendly and open attitude towards guests, fellow employees, and management.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines outlined in the handbook.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize the guest experience and support store operations.
- Conduct product presentation tasks, such as restocking, inventory management, and maintaining store displays according to company standards.
- Utilize in-store technology to streamline store operations and provide positive guest experiences.
- Prepare online orders by selecting and packaging apparel items, as well as fulfilling in-store pickup orders.
- Engage with social media by liking and commenting on posts that tag @lakesandgrapes and our branded hashtags on a daily basis.
- Promote Lakes and Grapes through interactions and communication with followers on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
- Distribute new follower coupons via direct messages.
- Assist during photo shoots by supporting models, managing paperwork, capturing behind-the-scenes content, and arranging setups.
- Support in-store events and contribute to the Ambassador program and monthly ambassador roundups.
- Adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- You may end up assisting in other web and digital media duties that may include graphic designs, creating promotions, writing blog posts, ect.

Job Requirements
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1+ years of related experience for a retail or consumer brand.
- Lives a Lakes and Grapes lifestyle
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have the ability to travel to assigned store with own transportation methods
- Loves fashion, design, and up to speed on upcoming trends.
- Adventurer at heart
- Enjoys social media and producing content for the brand
Availability
- Open to working a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Additional Willingness Requirements:
- Able to work in an environment with vibrant lighting and lively music.
- Ready to navigate through the store for the majority of the shift, assisting guests and fulfilling tasks.
- Prepared to handle boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Willing to collaborate as part of a team while also being capable of independently completing assigned work.
